With IdM Selfservice [1], you can configure incoming emails to an RWTH email account to be forwarded to external email addresses.
However, this configuration option will be deactivated for existing mailboxes on November 13, 2025. Mailboxes for which forwarding has already been configured will display the destination email address and will only offer the option to delete the forwarding. Existing redirects are not affected by this.
To continue configuring email forwarding to another account, create a corresponding inbox rule [2].

During deployment of the new self-service version, RWTH self-service will be unavailable. This outage will last a maximum of five minutes.

Due to DNS disruption, the name servers of various providers are currently not returning an IP address for hosts under *.rwth-aachen.de.

The hotfix KB5037224 has solved the problems with the search in Outlook (point 1). The other problems (points 2 and 3) remain. We are still waiting for a solution from Microsoft.

In some cases, the Outlook Web App is not accessible. The responsible department has been informed and is working on a complete fix.

As you can still access e-mails via clients (e.g. Outlook, Thunderbird), please switch to one of these until the fault has been rectified.

Der Cache, auf den die Webapplikation arbeitet war veraltet und wurde im Rahmen eines automatischen Prozesses nicht neu aufgebaut. Dieses führte dazu dass die gefundenen Inkonsistenzen dazu geführt haben, das bestehende Mailboxen nicht editiert werden konnten.

Es wird eine neue Version des Verwaltungstools AdmGUI deployt.
Während des Deployments können keine Änderungen an Mailadressen, Accounts, etc. vorgenommen werden.
Die Verfügbarkeit des Maildienstes ist hiervon unberührt
